BEARS FOR BRENNERS
Christmas is coming once again and so is Bears for Brenners.
For children, being sick and especially at Christmas time is no fun at all! But
you have a chance to make a difference, as a part of the Bears for Brenners
project.
Jessica Rowe and her parents will be taking any donated new toys and other gifts
down to the hospital on Christmas Eve for Santa Claus to give out on Christmas
Day!
We ask that all gifts be new, in agreement with hospital rules. Bring anything
you think someone sick and in a hospital would be able to enjoy! Ages of the
patients range from infant to 18 years old. This year the hospital has provided
us with a wish list of age appropriate things for the Child Life Department, so
if you’re wondering what to get, copies of the list will be in the church office
as well as in every Sunday School classroom starting this Sunday. Collection
bins are in the church at various locations.
GHCCM DONATIONS
GHCCM is currently accepting donations for the Thrift Store. They are in need of clothing
(infants, children, men and women), shoes, furniture, household items, bedding, appliances, electronics,
linens, blankets, towels, knick-knacks, purses books, computers, software, etc..

We believe the world is our parish. We are a connectional church,
which means our congregation is related and committed to every United
Methodist congregation worldwide.
Locally, we support hospital chaplaincy; Cooperative Christian Ministry,
Hickory Soup Kitchen, Family Care Center, aid to the homeless, Habitat
for Humanity and school volunteers.
Globally, our congregation is among the top 25 churches nationwide
in contributing blankets for those in crisis through Church World
Service. Each year we send building and medical teams to international
or domestic locations.
